trying to explain that in the future we will build something powerfull enough to fly into space, and leave a satellite up in space so that we can talk on "cell phones" where two people from across the world can talk to each other. Can you imagine that?

lol...ok to the person that said I needed to ask a question.... How about this...Where would you even begin??? I mean they would most likely hit you over the head with their club after about 10 seconds of you talking.

Yeah. Imagining that is not difficult.

But why would I tell em'! That would be alot harder to imagine.

I wouldn't go all the way back there just to swing from a tree. Or get burned up, you know?!

There were people who knew. Truth is much stranger than fiction.

They had to have tapped into something, to know about an invention before the predessesor of that invention is in use.

For example : The cell phone, before the telephone was invented. The shuttle, before airplanes. But there are people who could do it, and did it.

Cell phones do not use satellites. The word Cell is used to describe a technology that uses a vast number of antennas here on earth. Satellite phones are a different technology.

Anyone from this past century would think that what you were describing was entirely possible. To imagine a reaction of ridicule would probably require one to go back at least to the 1800's. In the 1700's in the area that is currently New England you might even be executed as a witch.

Well, it always helps to begin at the beginning. And to do that you have to invent two way radios, repeater technology, then cell phone towers, then satellites, electronic mineaturization of everything, NASA, and then stick a mini cell phone tower into space on a satellite...just have them explain it like that...no problem. You do all this with a few coconuts and some palm leaves.

No. Quite frankly, I can't. This could mean that I'm stupid. Or, probably that it never happens. Quite strange. I was sitting under an apple tree the other day, when an apple dropped on me, and all of a sudden, I realized that time travel may be impossible due to the immensely monstrous quantity of energy that makes it possible.
