I'm watching it right now at work and I actually like it..........I thought I wasn't going to like it.
Oh yes that is how dead and boring it is at work that I can watch a movie.

Its a great movie. And ignore the barbarians who put it down! :)
Seriously, there's a tendency these days to dismiss the traditional "musical" movie--not just SoM--as "superficial or cheezy or whatever. some of them are--but there are many great ones. Try "South Pacific" or "Singing in the Rain."

It is my favorite movie of all times.
I heard somewhere that there is a re-make or a Broadway version of the movie in the making and 3 of the kids playing the Von Trapp children are actually Grandchildren of the original Von Trapp Children. I think that's cool.
Have fun at work, I'm bundled up in my house while we have a "winter weather system" moving though.

Love that movie. It's a classic. Julie Andrews has an amazing voice. Your lucky you get to watch movies at work. :]

I love it, Julie Andrews has such a beautiful voice, and the story is much more complex than you would think. And lucky you, getting to watch a movie at work! That my friend I believe is everyones' dream job! ( Unless you rely on tips, in that case, sorry, hpefully it will pick up!)

It is a timeless classic. It is one of a few movies that the whole family will love. Both myself and my kids grew up singing those songs.
