Hey girlies u remember playing this game in the school playground ? and putting a ball in a sock ? Can u remember any more ? I always remember playing alleys/marbles as well .....

This sounds like a backwards Welsh game to me.

We used to play it with dressmaking elastic.

Tie the ends together to make a big loop, two people stand inside the loop and stretch out the elastic around their ankles then you used to have to jump over it and sing song the rhyme but on the ON part you had to jump onto the elastic. Each time that it was completed successfully the elastic as moved up the legs slightly making it harder to do.

I am now showing my age badly!!! And Health and Safety prevents games like this now!

Good to see a fellow Welsh person, I remember playing "MOB" a game kinda like hide a seek, but with a difference,when the seeker leaves his/her counting place the hiders have to get to the counting place with out being see by the seeker/moober,if they are spotted the seeker/mobber has to try and get to the counting spot before them,if they are successful then the first person to be "mobbed out" has a turn in being a seeker/mobber.
