my sister told me that when you drink ice tea, your period last longer...is it true? and what foods should you aviod when you get your period?

You can eat or drink anything. Not true about the ice tea.

The only true thing to avoid: If you take on fluid, you'll want to avoid salt. Salt absorbs water and will make the edema worse.

you should avoid cold things, spicy things, caffeine, and watermelons. watermelons can cause a heavy flow, and the rest can cause cramps and heavy flow as well

you can eat anything you want, if they dont cause symptoms. just like when i eat anything salted it causes me to retain even more water and sweets cause me to be more fatigue.

don't eat too spicy food,avoid non-veg if u can.its good if u can have butter milk.
