By third shift I suppose you mean from about midnight to some time in the morning, right? What is open 24 hours in your town? The cafeteria at the hospital, at least, and probably at least a few restaurants. Are there supermarkets in your area that are open 24/7? Certainly there are convenience stores. There are a lot of cleaning jobs, and stocking shelves for stores that will open the next morning after you leave. There may well be jobs at the post office, and at UPS or FedEx. And of course there are factory jobs, because there are factories that run three shifts.

The problem with any of these is going to work in the middle of the night in a tacky neighborhood might not be too cool. If you are a waitress, make it at some place classy enough that there's no being hassled by drunks, etc. And do be aware of your security both while you are at work (convenience stores especially), and while you go from home to car and car to work. Used to be a woman out at that hour of the night would be assumed to be engaged in a much older profession. This may still be the case in some older and narrower minds.

Any shift, there will always be scope for freshers. The call centre / back office support services would ideally suit you. Try for online jobs - which are mostly suitable for freshers. See if your temperament would fit in to provide online dating services for which the need is increasing in the western countries and this will be our exacty 3rd shift job you are looking for - BUT, caution in choosing the right one should be your watchword. Be very focussed and double check if you would want to cater to this service. Good luck !!
