Adolf Hitler spent part of his youth in Vienna, where he became aware that nearly all vice traffic, including prostitution, was run by Jews. He also noticed that most of the anti-German journalists were Jews, and so were nearly all of the Communist agitators who were trying to bring Marxism to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Simply, he put two and two together and came up with the right answer. Hitler decided that somebody had to try to put a stop to the Jewish corruption machine, and he went into politics to be that somebody.

Big question, there are books written about this topic. Fact is that there was a lot of severe antisemitism in Germany at that time, so it was not only Hitler who had these views. Jews had been hated for religious reasons in Europe for long time, because they have a different religion, they refused to convert to Christianity and were blamed for the crucifixion of Jesus. They were demonized and excluded from the society. They didn't get citizenship before 19th century. Hitler came to power just about a century after Jews had become German citizens and part of the German society, and many people did not accept that. They were seen as strangers and the way they were demonized since the middle ages lived on. They were blamed for absolutely everything and accused of secret evil schemes. There is much written about the history of antisemitism in Europe. It all has to do with xenophobia, fear of the unknown, intolerance. They were also the only significant minority in Germany at that time, so there wasn't much choice for another scapegoat.
It is not correct what many people write about the hair and eye colors. Only a minority of Germans is blond and blue eyed, and no one was persecuted in Nazi Germany because of their hair and eye colors.

Hitler's "hatred" of the Jewish people stems in part from (1) the long history antisemitism in Europe and (2) his personal inadequacies. Because he was poor and unsuccessful in his youth, Hitler hated those who were more prosperous (like the Jews of old Austria-Hungary) and blamed them for his own failures.
There is a lot of "misinformation" about Hitler on this issue. One story says that he loved a Jewish girl and vowed revenge where her wealthy family rejected him. Another is that he, himself, was part Jewish. Both of these are simply bull.
The "love story" is pure fabrication. The "Jewish" tale stems from the fact that there were Jews living in Austria with the family name of Hitler (including one named Adolf) to whom he was unrelated.

Hitler focused his own hatred of the Jews on his nation to unify Germany. It was true that Jews were fairly prosperous and, because they took care of their own, suffered less in the economic depression following WWI. With the typical hatred of a depressed people against those that have more than they do and who have some different customs, the German people followed Hitler's lead. In the end the Germans killed off all those they considered the dregs of society---Jews, gypsies, blacks, the mentally ill and the physically handicapped.

I believe I read somewhere that his mother was a jewish prostitute.
Also, after losing the first World War, Germany was overtaken by hyperinflation and the economy started to fail (The Great Depression occurred too, so it was much worse in Germany). The Jews controlled most of the banks and other financial institutions so they were a pretty easy target to place blame on.

It wasn't just Jewish people. He hated any ethical, religious and political group that did not have fair skin, blue eyes, and blond hair. Which is ironic, because Hitler had a brown mustache, fair skin, and brown eyes. Some survivors remembers seeing Hungarian children waiting in a line to be burned in his crude crematoriums. He was a white racialist, believing that white people were superior. Asking why he believed that would be like asking someone to explain why they believe in their religion. You can't explain it, it's a mix of your childhood, experiences, and how you think.

you should read "mein kampf" he explains in full detail why he hated them.
He blamed the liberal jewish media for losing the first world war.
He hated them for sticking together, and putting jewish culture more important than german culture.
He hated the fact that jewish people in general tend to put an emphasis on money and success in business.
He blamed them for keeping germany down, and even thought they were spying for the other side.
But the REAL reason is; even if he did not hate them, enough german people distrusted and disliked them for him to use that hate and distrust to rise to power. He used the jewish people as a scapegoat, because it is easy to hate and it makes everyonew feel better if they have someone to blame. He used hatred as a way to get into power.

I'm affraid the reason died with the man. Interetingly, Hitler was born and raised a Jew. The official Nazi policy was that Jews and many others were unfit for life. The original Holocaust involved the disabled and insane, called "useless eaters" after WW1. The policy eventually extended to "inferior races", meaning to Hitler, any dark skinned people.

I think he just wanted to pick someone to be a scapegoat.
Since the Jews were usually sucessfull at business and there is always some jealousy around anyone who is sucessfull. He picked the Jews to single out. In your research you will find that some Christian leaders and businessmen tried to protest the initial treatment of the jews and were hanged with piano wire.

O.k- here goes. First of all, he was raised in an era that was filled with anti-semitism (which is a hatred of jews or arabs). It was his culture as much as it is American culture to have black-white problems. So he wasn't the only one and that made it easy for him to appeal to the masses of very intelligent but hopeless Germans his point. When you have a desperate situation in your country and someone is promising if you follow him- you will be able to feed and support your family it is easy to go along with him. That said, he envied the Jewish people's success and wanted that for his own people. Jewish ppl are generally good with handling money and just like anybody else they keep that money in the family instead of giving out to Joe Schmoe on the street. He was so loyal to Germany and felt betrayed by the Jewish ppl whom he felt were only loyal to there Jewish history, he considered them a different race with a different "smell" to them. His loyalty is unsurpassed- could you imagine? He was born in Austria but had such a love for Germany that he one day committed his life to it. Many ppl in America today could not understand the depth of his loyalty which in my mind actually made him go insane in his later years. I believe he was a sadistic murderer whom was extremely smart. When he first became chancellor, even Jews supported him. If you ask them and others like them why today they will say, "I agreed with 95% of what he said and just hoped he didn't intend to follow through with his final solution to the Jewish problem". The sad thing is he put in plain english (well actually plain German) his intentions in his 1922-1923 book "Mein Kempf" way before he was fuhrer. It's proof that sometimes the easiest way to hide something from someone is to put it in plain view. But as for the book- he rambles like a mad man and it is entirely boring and very arrogant. His father was a bastard child, that is rumored to have come from his mother's fling with a Jewish man she was employed by as his servant. It is reported this man paid a fee to the mother ( I guess like child support). Hitler did know about this conspiracy and did much to hide it from his political enemies whom of course we're trying to ruinne him. He felt very bitter about bastard children and wanted to abolish it...wonder why? :-I But that theory can't be proven, the family whom adopted his father the Hitler's are rumored to possibly be the father as well. Some ppl speculate that Hitler never had kids because he believed this theory and he did not want the Jewish blood line to continue. Either way he did have blue eyes. sparkling blue.
By the end of his reign, the power had gone to his head and yes, political enemies, people of other religions and races, gypsies, handicapped, young, and elderly were all persecuted by his Third Reich and killed in horrible and torturous ways. May god- if there is one never have mercy on his or the others to blame's souls!
