What is the typical weather like in Phoenix Ariz. in March? Any packing suggestions? Will be flying there for the first time around the first of March

It's beautiful here in March. It will be in the high 70s, possible low 80s with lots of sunshine. There is a possibility of rain, but if you check the weather websites a couple of days before you leave you can get the upcoming week's forecast and if it shows sunny days all the way through you can rely on that. Hope you have a great time, there is so much to see and do here.

went to a's spring training game in phoenix first week of March a few years back in the weather was very warm, high 80s most of the time. But I think it was hotter than that. And there was no shade and the stadium, so it felt a lot warm than that. It was very warm well into the night. I did not bring a jacket and pretty much wore shorts and tank tops all the time. I did bring a light jacket just in case.

If you're from a wintery area like me then you'll be wearing shorts most of the time. But bring some pants too. 70s-80s if I remember correctly, high 50s to low 60s at night?

In March it is very nice and will not be necessary to wear a jacket. Maybe you should take a windbreaker just in case it rains (which it RARELY does). I went there around the same time last year, and only wore shorts & t-shirt the whole time

Hard to say anymore.
Phoenix is normally pleasant in March, 70-80 degree temps, but last March it snowed!

Phoenix will be warm. Short sleeves and pants.shorts in day and light jacket at night.. I live in Az about 3 hrs from Phx ...

it is going to likely be "layer" climate. heat interior the daylight hours, cool at night time. so which you would be wanting shorts for the day time and sitting out on the video games and a delicate jacket and denims for night time. relish the video games!
