My parts catalog list 110 motors for gm , not including flat heads.

not sure on the date post 1968 but small blocks were,262 265 267 283 302 305 307 327 350 400 and the most comon big blocks were 396 402 427 454 then you have the truck 366 big block 427 454 that are similar but not the same have a taller deck for lower compression think that the 262 265 267 was made in the mid 50's approx 1955 to early 1960's

It started with the small block 265, 283, 327 in the mid 50's early 60's,then 348 and 409 late 50's early 60's, 302, 307, 350, 400 small blocks late 60's early 70's, 396, 427, 454 big blocks same time.

302(original 67 Camaro engine, used in 68 ; though)
396(60's especially Impalas and Chevelles)
427(reverred in Vettes and Camaros)
502(aftermarket)
540(aftermarket)
400(very rare, could be found in the Caprices during the mid 70's...very slow and detuned ...actually a Pontiac engine put in there by order of GM, I guess)

spoiled wife is right but don't forget the six cylinders as well starting with: 194, 250, 292 (which was a truck engine used a lot in UPS vans) In the later years of course they went to liter designations.

364(6.0) and 496(8.1), these are the new truck engines... no more 350s for vans and trucks, its the 364 now
and there was a 396 and 427 for muscle cars
