Material Girl?

In class the other day I was sitting next to teo of my friends. And a boy was sitting in front of our desk. (And I'm new to the school by the way) and they were just talking about clothing brands and how much they all loved Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch and all that. So the boy in front of our desk, turns around and gets into the conversation. And I was listening to the teacher talk, and I heard them say something about a certain name brand. I told them I loved that name brand, and they all looked at me for a long time. One mf my friends was like "Um, nobody shops there anymore. " And everyone starts dying in laughter. And the boy that sits in front of us, said "Why don't you shop at Hollister you?" I told him that I mostly shop at stores like "Forever 21, Wet Seal, Baby Phat" (Because that's where I honestly shop) nd he's like to me "Well then you're a dork". I'm so embarrassed though, what should I do?

Nothing wrong with Forever 21!!!!!!!!!! Very stylish clothing that place is and I love it. Hollister and Abercombie & Fitch's clothing look old and used. Girl stick to your own style you don't have to dress in Hollister or A&F clothing to be in the "cool" crowd. Don't listen to what other people say if they called you for instance dork just cause you don't wear that clothing line. As long as you feel good and comfortable in Forever 21 or whatever other clothing line you wear don't listen to them

I shop at the same stores that you do. Most of my friends are telling me that I should shop at Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch..., but I personaly say "why pay $50 bucks for something that you could get for $20 when the only difference is that the expencive one has a logo on it.

Tell him (and anyone else who would complain) that you are not a sheep....that you shop where YOU like, not where someone else tells you to. Ask him, if purple polkadot leotards came into style for guys, would he run out and buy a pair just because Abercrombie sold them? Not to mention that there's absolutely nothing wrong with the stores where you shop!

Believe me, YOU are not the dork! People who make fun of others who don't follow trends are the dorks, AND they're missing out on a lot of people who could be VERY good friends by judging others based on something so shallow. I can guarantee you, those kids who are making fun, are NOT paying for their own clothes. If they were, they sure wouldn't be running their mouths like that. BE yourself. Don't let someone who would wear purple polkadot leotards to school because Abercrombie sold them...tell YOU who to be, or what's important!

wow, that was really mean, but dont let it get u down. i personally love hollister and stuff but wut i dont get is why he would think you're a dork if u shop at wet seal and baby phat. whoever can afford those things defidently isnt a dork. (and by the way, if a guy talks about someone being a dork about shopping at those places and says to shop at hollister, well, lets just say thats a little sad....well being a guy and all...) ;)

Stay true to yourself and keep wearing whatever makes YOU feel good. Not everyone looks cute in Abercrombie. When it comes to fashion, know what looks good on your body, know what makes you feel great, and you will always be a step ahead.

ignore it! why should you care where you or other people shop at? if you like shopping there, don't let anybody stop you. and that boy sounds like a real idiot so don't even feel the least bit offended because he is ignorant.
