You mean make their presence so obvious that we can stop pretending it's all just someone's imagination? How about when they see this planet look like it has INTELLIGENT life on it.
"Beam me up Scotty; there's no intelligent live on this planet!"
Seriously: I am sure you realize all our broadcast radio and television is perceptible well beyond our own sphere. It would only take sufficiently sensitive equipment to listen in on all our chatter, and probably pictures, too. So no intelligent alien would get close enough to be detected until he was satisfied from what he was observing that he would not simply be shot on sight, or otherwise have a very bad time of it, were he to walk into Washington, DC, ask to speak to our leaders.
Now think about what we are presenting to the cosmos in our broadcast communications.

As soon as the sauce is ready! LOL!
There is no logical reason why an alien civilization advanced enough to get here would not announce there impending arrival, and contact us immediately upon arrival; unless they are coming to eat us!

I am sure if they were here they would make themselves known when they knew they could escape if they encountered hostility.
However no alien has or ever will visit earth
