I am in high school. My friends have the tendency to lie to my face/ditch me. For example: I'll ask a friend if they wanna "chill" and they'll say no I have to do chores or what ever. Then, since I have AIM their away message will be with my lovelyy so and so. Normally I address them about how I feel and how I am mad. They think I take it wayyyyy to personally. What should I do?

Well cookie I know exactly how you feel, when I was in Middle school I went through the same thing. My two "best friends" at the time kept downing me. Nothing I did was good enough, I was the smart one where they were laid back and cool, so whenever we did a project together they made a fool out of me. They would hang out more with each other, ditch me whenever they had the chance, and bad mouth me to all the guys that liked me. Anyway I dropped them, and I found friends more my speed. Though because of what they did I had trust issues with all my other friends. So don't let what they do effect your future friendships. Drop those friends, because their not friends at all. You shouldn't call just anyone your friend because if you do they can take advantage of you babe. Find friends who appreciate you! Then you won't have to worry about people like that. High school is tough without friends, the right friends will build you up. The wrong ones will bring you down. If they are not beneficial to your life cut them off. As a fellow High schooler(I AM SENIOR WHOO!!!C/O 07)I know exactly what you mean. Good luck sweetie.

well i think they probably for some reason don't want to spend time around you. when i did that its because that friend got annoying or they did something that i didnt appreciate. i think you should just ask them what's up with them acting like that and if they say nothing that means they're lying and saying it aloud in their mind(trust me on this one) so press the issue. when they say you're taking it too personally tell them that you just want to spend some time with your friends and you wished they wouldnt brush you off when you ask.
truth be told, sometimes they don't listen and are too cowardice to tell you wat's wrong. in that case, just forget about them. you should still talk to them from time to time but don't spend a lot of time around them or else they might just nlow you off for good so just don't make it that obvious that you're avoiding them just treat them as an 'acquaintance.' and if they end up asking you why you don't really talk just say that they gave you the impression that they didn't want to talk to you. and if you say it with a pleseantly sincere look on your face like you really don't care about them that much they'll probably end up feeling pretty bad about the whole thing.
