sobriety

I don't know that I have ever conquered anything with patience. I do know that patience has been a hard won emotion. Without it, life would be intolerable. And miserable. I could never have the people I love around me and I certainly would not be able to keep the employees I have.

Perhaps tolerance would better describe what I'm talking about.

Now if you mean patience as in willing to wait, sit back and let other factors lead you, then I have none. I feel that if I sit and wait, allowing the world to determine my fate, I'll be buried. And I think rightfully so.

I believe my responsibility, and others too, is to experience life, cherish it and enjoy it.

I know that my one fear is that I will lay dieing and think about and regret all the things that I could have done but didn't because I was willing to be "patient" . Willing to wait.

That's the one fear I have. And it's a big one.

i love your picture of that lion. When i was younger i always wanted a dog, and still do. But my parents wouldn't let me have ANY pets. I used to ask everyday for a pet, and show them dogs online, and dog pictures and books. So we made a bet, if i didn't talk about an animal for ONE FULL MONTH, they would get me a guinea pig. I did it, i wanted a pet so bad that for one month i did not open my mouth about animals, at least not around my parents. And for me, being 10 at the time, this was VERY hard, but it payed off. After i got my first piggy, they saw that i was actually responsible and I've had 5 since. i know this wouldn't be a big deal to some people, but it was a big deal to me.

I have raised my children to the best of my ability. It may have took 23 years to get them on there own. And that took a lot of patience through the years.

conquering is more the word for me. I am working w/a complete jerk and so I struggle everyday to not really just remove his head and reinstall it verbally. It is a gift you know? So, I just be a nice person and try to avoid talking w/his at all costs but it almost made me quit.

Everything. I am, without a doubt, the most patient person you will ever meet. It is unusual though, because the rest of my family doesn't have the patience to cook a microwave dinner. :P
