Limewire isn't illegal right?? Are all the songs on limewire copyrighted?? How can i convince someone that limewire is okay to download and it in not wrong/illegal??

The use of Limewire is legal, but it still contains copyrighted songs, which are illegal.
All Limewire does is allow you to share files. It doesn't know the difference between a song you made vs. a copyrighted song. It doesn't know the difference between a home movie or a copyrighted one. It doesn't know the difference between a pic from your camera vs. kiddie porn. Just like your car doesn't know if its transporting suitcases or drugs, Limewire is just a tool to transport files.
iTunes on the other hand bought all the songs it shares, and that's why it charges you for them. The songs are legal.

Limewire is not illegal as long as what you are downloading you already own a copy on cd the law allows individuals who have a cd or video to make a back up copy or download one but to download something that you never bought, dont have rights to ... is indeed illegal so it not the program limewire that is illegal is the people who may use it in an illegal way

Limewire, it's ilegal. But anyway, you can download songs free, so if you want to convince someone, tell him that you are not stealing songs, you are sharing songs with others
