over come rejection is priority #1, then command, then close the deal, also give as much info as possible that pertains to the subject and the opponent so you can have some ammo to use in the negotiation

Know what they want-and try, try, try to get them to state this.
Know what you can give-but don't reveal this until necessary-just give samples or suggestions.
Then do all the fun stuff that takes place in between as you positon yourself between what they want and what you can give. Sometimes they may be the same thing!
