It's part of their strategy...........to add emphasis to the product etc, and also to distinguish it from other adverts - so you're more likely to remember it.

It's an act. There is no-one called Barry Scott (in the advert, anyway), it's an actor playing it for comic effect.
Do a google on Barry Scott, I think he's got his own website or blog.

Oh I know! I have to turn it over when that advert comes on.... I wouldn't buy the product just because I feel like he's shouting at me.. or treating me like I'm stupid...

It's one of their new advertising strategies, its so your relatives in Australia can hear the advert and they aren't even watching the TV, pretty clever of them don't you think.
