Every child is different. My own will go 3 or 4 days without a BM, and so 5 days doesn't bother me at all, unless they are showing signs of discomfort.
If the child usually goes once or twice a day, there might be a cause for concern...but there are several factors that can play a part. Diet is the biggest thing. Lots of bread and meat, and not enough veggies can cause a child to get backed up. In that case, push fruit, fruit juice, bran, and liquids as much as possible. Cheese or dairy can also make some children pooh and some children get constipated. (Once again, it's an individual, child by child, thing.)
Lack of food; at this age babies can go through a "refusal" to eat, or a lack of want for solid food for any reason. (Less food, less waste.) It's not a big deal...they won't let themselves starve as long as food is offered...they just don't feel like eating it. But that can play a role in BMs.
Personally, I wouldn't show any concern unless a child is crying or showing other signs of discomfort with the abdomen or the bottom. Otherwise, messing with the diet or giving any OTC drug without a doctor's advice can cause damage. We see it all the time in the elderly...once the glass of prune juice becomes a daily thing, they can't pooh without it.

It depends. 5 days is definately not unheard of in an exclusively breastfed baby. But, by 10 months, he may be on solids so that can mess up the whole system. Make sure he is eating things that do not constipate, i.e. grains and bananas and try to get some fruit and veggies into him, prune juice too. Otherwise just keep nursing him unless he is straining or in some kind of pain. Then you should see your Dr. Without pain or straining just expect a huge HUGE blowout :)

it's time to take her to the vet. If she is this susceptible and drained, she might have an infection. it is regularly handed directly to the kittens if not dealt with. not all cats do properly with giving delivery. curiously to have been very frustrating on her from what you describe. do not permit the mum cats exterior as they are able to alter into pregnant returned marvelous away. you have already got your arms finished with the accountability of looking sturdy consistently residences for those kittens. it is relatively undemanding for 2 woman cats in a bigger half and babies to feed the others kittens. in keeping with possibility she will experience that the mum cat isn't feeling properly. it's time for a pass to to the vet.

yes, usually 3 days is a maximum.....try one tablespoon of dark karo syrup in 4 ounces of water...you should get results. Can also try simply lubricating the end of a rectal thermometer with vaseline...insert into rectum as if taking a temp. Also will provide results. Also, PEDIATRIC glycerine suppositories are available without RX anywhere....insert and hold little bottom cheeks closed.

Ask your pedi. Personally I poop about every 3-4 days and so does my daughter. She's 10 months. I've asked both our doctors and they think it's normal. As long as we aren't constipated and eating a good healthy amount we're good.

five days is to long, babies usually go every two days. give him some prun juice in his bottle. because if he gets backed up he will be in pain, and crying alot. which is no fun for him or you. At least call your doctor.

It depends on his diet how often he will go poo. But yes i think five days is too long for ANYBODY to go without pooping. I would take him to your pediatriction and voice your concerns there.
