No. That's an old but very popular myth. In the strictest sense, Orthodox Jewish men aren't even supposed to come into physical contact with their wife if she's menstruating. Some times they will not even pass objects directly to each other. It's 'unclean'

That's a new variation.
The truth of the matter is that Jews, either Orthodox or otherwise, do NOT do this.
However, regarding menstration, religious Jews will not have relations at all during that period.

They don't have sex when the woman is on her period. She is considered "unclean" and can't even cook for the family. This mainly applies to ultra orthodox Jewish people.
