Go to the drug store and find a cough syrup that is for coughs only. Start taking it immediately.

Good luck with your date!

Could be a multitude of things. You should probably start by seeing a doctor to rule out flu, bronchitis, strep and so forth. You would not want to give those to her. A cough is sometimes hard to get rid of so quickly...........sorry that is just the way it is.

Meanwhile you can always try.....lots of orange juice, apple juice, Vitamin C pills, Zinc pills, Echenachia pills, sleep, hot showers (sit in the steam for awhile), Vicks under the nose and on the chest to help break up any mucus that is causing the cough, hot tea with lemon and honey to help coat the throat, zinc lozenges for the cough and plenty of sleep.

You may want to reschedule the date. It is heartbreaking but she will understand....especially if you reschedule at the same time as breaking the date.

Good Luck! :)

Hi

1) Drink plenty of water.
2) Go to bed early the night before, at least 9 hrs sleep
3) Have you tried a honey and lemon drink?
4) Wear a scarf from now until the date, if you can in bed too.

I wouldn't say it bronchitis, as the lady before me suggests, could be smokers cough or due to change in weather. Had it before. If its still bad by wednesday go to your docs babes.

Thanks for reading.

i agree. you need to see a doctor as soon as possible.

if urgency is vital, go to your local E.R. immediately and tell them your situation. if it's just a chest cold, they may give you a script for an antibiotic and send you on your way. it probably won't be completely cleared up in 2 days, but hopefully it won't be nearly as severe and maybe more manageable.

good luck.

Could be bronchitis. I had it for months. The only thing that finally got rid of it was a course of steroids.

Go to the dr.

Robitussin DM is good for a cough, but it usually hangs on forever.

You don't want to give her anything. Tell her what you have, and ask if you can reschedule. She'll understand that.
