They're definitely more laid back than us Brits!

Probably more to do with their climate than anything else.....

English comedy:
Fawlty Towers
Only Fools and Horses
Blackadder
Porridge
Some Mothers Do Ave Em
Monty Python
Morecambe and Wise
Little Britain
The League of Gentlemen
The Office

Thinking for ten seconds, that's the list I came up with.

Australian comedy:

Ermm..........Dame Edna

Are Aussie people funnier 'that' English? I think not.

You mean "than" English, and I would say no, I think the English have the best sense of humour and comedy in the world. Americans are so in-your-face with their comedy and it's so blatantly obvious that you've figured out the joke before they've finished it and when the punchline comes, you're not laughing! And as for the Australians? Blah! I have nothing against the Aussies, hey I might emigrate there when I'm older, but name me one Australian comedian, except that funny guy who guest appeared on Mock The Week with the fake leg..ooh, speaking of which I can even think of a Welsh comedian and that's saying something because I normally only laugh when they're speaking their own language which in itself is hilarious!

No. Aussies have a very poorly developed sense of humour.
