First try Oxy Clean and if that doesn't work, then here are some other tips to try. Lipstick or lipgloss: (1) Blot the stain with nail polish remover. Rinse thouroughly. (2) Blot the stain with a commercial spot remover such as "Carbona Stain Devils" or "K2r', available at supermarkets, hardware stores, and discount department stores. Rinse thouroughly. (3) Mix 1/4 tsp. dishsoap with 1 cup lukewarm water. Blot the area with the solution and then rinse thouroughly. (4) Try the solution of 1 cup white vinegar to 2 cups of water (I would cut both these ingrediants in half...you won't need that much) Rinse thouroughly with warm water. As a final step before calling out a professional, try using a spot removal kit.

Of course you needn't apply all of these steps if the lipstick comes out with the first try! Good luck!

I just now looked this up in my Household Hints book for you. It said to get lipstick out of fabric rub the stain with a piece of white bread. I guess it would work on carpet. At least it's cheap enough.
