most pet stores wont take a fish from just anyone because they do not know what kind of care it has had. Put an add in the paper for free fish and the breed. It will be gone the same day your ad is posted]

That really is horrible. Take it to your local fish and/or pet store. They'll gladly take it and give it someone that will take care of it.

most locally owned fish stores (not walmart or petco) will accept donated fish
