1.You have a URINARY TRACT INFECTION wich has been predisposed by your newly diagnosed diabetes- high blood sugar.
2. When the blood sugar is high and uncontrolled it is accompanied by a high sugar content in the urine. The bacteria then find the urinary tract a perfect colonising ground and they duplicate at the high rate of once every 20 mins.
3. The pain on micturition, dysuria, in your case is almost mathematically equal to a severe infection of the urinary tract.
YOU HAVE TO
1.See your doctor who will surely do the appropriate tests and control the diabetes
2. He will surely advise you to drink lots of water (5 litres/day)to flush out the infection.
3.You will need an appropriate antibiotic.
4. You now are aware of this and it will be absolutely necessary to control the diabetes with diet ,medication etc.

Are you Type 1 or Type 2? I find that I also encounter some discomfort when I I have to urinate quite often due to drinking a large amount of liquids. Are you urinating with great frequency? If so, if you can ensure your sugar levels are around normal and limit your liquid intake, the pain should hopefully pass.

I wouldn't get excited your willy isn't going to drop off or anything. You are more likely to pick up an infection as a result of the sugar in your urine from your diabetes. Go for a routine check up with your Doc.

Have to agree. Urine should not burn and you may have a kidney infection. Get it checked immediatly. An ifection is easy enough to treat but you should bet it checked as soon as possible...I mean tomorrow. These things develop very very quickly and can get nasty.
The diabetes is bad news but can be controlled.

Have an urgent medical check up. There are many reasons why you feel pain when passing water. I am not sure that diabetes is one. Please have it thoroughly checked out.
