I just lost a Synodontis Catfish that I bought in 1987. I have fish of several kinds that are over ten years old. I geuss the best answer is as long as you are willing to take real good care of them PeeTee

depends on the type of fish entirely. The record for goldfish is 43 years old - though with average care 20 is expected. Ocean dwellers get very old as well as many types of catfish.
