I am 38 weeks pregnant and since getting pregnant, I have developed these kind of skin tags around my vagina. There are about eight of them now and they sometimes bleed. At first I thought it could be genital warts but I have never cheated on my husband and he hasn't got them so I'm assuming that they are pregnancy related? Please help!

YES, skin tags are a common side effect of pregnancy, if they are very bothersome, I would have removed a couple of weeks after birth. nothing to worry about though. Congrats on your baby! I am 35 weeks myself!

It is probably just another pregnancy symptom, the list seems endless.
Check it out with your midwife though to be on the safe side. It is better to have a little embarrassment now that living with guilt should anything harm your baby. The midwife spends a huge part of her career looking at ladies private parts so don't be embarrassed, its only like a dentist looking at teeth and an optician looking at eyes.

Hi

Its best to speak to your midwife who won't be at all fazed, but i remember readig an article about this, its due to the pressure of the baby later on in pregnancy, and the skin can get irritated and infected as its in an area which is covered by clothing and friction occurs, im sure the woman was prescribed a topical ointment which cleared it up, don't forge twhen pregnant your body does all sorts of strange things to your hormones

Good luck and try not to worry

You should get them checked out as soon as possible! It can be anything and you are pregnant, what if it harms the baby??
I know sometimes things like that can be embarrassing and you probably feel uncomfortable showing them to the doctor, but trust me, gynaecologists have seen it all.......for the sake of the baby's health and yours get a professional to have a look at your problem
Good luck, I hope it is nothing serious and can be easily treated

This can be natural but honestly you need to ask your doctor! Just because you haven't cheated and he has no signs doesn't mean its not something of that nature. PLEASE get the strength to ask your doctor before you go into labor. Genital issues of this nature if they are STDs could very easily be transmitted to the baby during delivery. It may not be anything to worry about but TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR!!!! Don't be embarrassed, just ask. Or annonymously call a different doctor or go to Planned Parenthood in a different town!

Check with you GYN but with genital warts, they can lay dormant for years meaning that you may have been exposed several years ago with another partner and with the pregnancy hormones they are coming out now.

lol. that is humorous. don't be embarrassed. i do not pee only every time yet I pee virtually each and every time I sneeze. i only won't be able to carry it in. It did not take position till the top of my first being pregnant yet with this one (the 0.33) it exceeded off virtually as we communicate. Kinda makes me scared to be 70. :) do not problem you're completely widespread and do not sense embarrassed in the front of your bf, in case you may have sex with someone you should sense mushy sufficient to inform them some thing. Mine only laughs at me, buts that is tremendous. it is going to all bypass away once the bay comes.
