My husband and I have a beautiful daughter named Lilliana Pearl. We aren't pregnant or anything but he seems to think that if we ever have a son, he automatically gets to choose the name because I named our daughter. His choice for the boys name: RAMBO... I'm not even exxagerating- he is serious about this. He says it is the ultimate boys name because it's tough and not girly..... I want both MALE & FEMALE opinion on this!

It's not a very good idea. He could name him after the actor who played Rambo Sylvestor Stallone; name him Sly.
(Old English-forest and sneaky)

Terrible. There are many other boys' names that aren't girly that also aren't as corny as Rambo. Try to find a few and run them past him. For the child's sake.

My dad always told my grandmother that he was going to name his son Clark (last name is Kent), just to watch her have a fit. When the time came, he was named after my grandfather.

The easiest way to tell is to sit down with you husband, and think of all the different ways RAMBO could be made fun of by his classmates in school. If you can think any up, then try to compromise. Rambo will thank you.

I know what you mean. My husband wanted to name our third son ESPN, it's in the baby name book! As for the name Rambo, i wouldn't do it. There are plenty of "tough" names for boys that don't remind you of a crazy man with a gun. lol. Good luck and God bless.

Nice choice for your daughter Lilliana is a beautiful name and for your little boy I like either Jackson or Connor.

That's awful!

Get him a puppy - and name him Rambo before you give him to your husband...get that name out of his system.

Can you imagine the laughs/chuckles when a high school teacher is taking roll call and asks if Rambo is here? Um - NO!

tell him ok for a middle or a nick name.. but i would try my hardest for it to be a nick name.. kids can be cruel and well the movie thing..what is his name maybe you can name him after him.. or if his father has a nice name.. you could enlist his fathers help in that one..or do some reasearch and see if Rambo could be a short version of a longer name

NO!! It sounds like an African tribal drum.....not a sweet baby boy. I like these names:
Robert
Jacob
Austin
Ryder
Jackson(Jack)
Richard
Andrew
Shawn
Sam
Alexander
Jason

these are just some. But show that to your husband. I don't like Rambo either.

Oh my goodness, well just tell him that Rambo is out of the picture and never coming back , and that your having the kid thats in you not him (if you were pregnant). So just try to compromize.
