Often when I'm on a discussion group and replying to a opinion question, my opinion gets put down.
I can never figure out why?
I've never said anything that should be offensive and I was just stating my opinion, which is what was asked of me.
Also, isn't it ignorant to call someone else ignorant?
I would never do that to anyone.

Many people think that their opinion is the only one that counts.
Some are rude because they are just having an off day or are being sensitive that day. I have been that way on occasion, give them the benefit of the doubt.
Then there is the attempt at humor that falls flat. No, one should call you ignorant. But it does happen, sadly.
Then again some people are just totally thick headed and always have to be right, ignore them. They won't change. Just be yourself, and you will be happy.

It's common for an opinion to be put down, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't express yours. It's almost impossible to say something than cannot be criticized. Also, be sure to look at the question and your answer from everyone's point of view to make sure you didn't accidentally offend someone - some people can take everything the wrong way. State your opinions and keep your head high!

There are people that don't like it when someone doesn't share the same opinion with them. Don't sweat it and don't throw your principals out the door just because other's don't agree with them.

I agree. You have a right to your opinion. If someone doesn't like it, they have a right to their opinion. Calling you ignorant doesn't make your opinion wrong and theirs right, it just makes them look childish.

personally i love to see all the different ideas and i understand what you are saying i say a prefrence for something and get thumbs down but im on your side jut laugh it off its people who are scared of expanding their veiws!!
