This is an old trick, usually used for motor home and camping trailer fridges! The idea behind this is that, by turning it upside down for awhile, the refrigerant gases move in the pipes, and force an air bubble to also move. Then when it's righted, everything returns to normal. It works if your fridge is old and uses ammonia as the coolant. Very few still do. Freon does have some liquid, especially under pressure. But RV refrigerators run on a different principle than home units. I believe the Haier fridge is more like a home fridge than an RV one, so flipping it probably wouldn't work. But hey- if it's stopped working anyway, what do you have to lose? Go ahead and give it a try. If it doesn't work, you're not out anything anyway! -If you do, let it sit upright for 24 hours for everything to settle again.
It's really the gas refrigerators used in RVs, not the electric ones, that need to be kept level to operate properly.

You should probably call Haier before doing anything like that. If you cannot find their number try 1-800-FREE-411. It's a free telephone information number (saves you nearly a buck each time!) that many people don't yet know of. It is free because it is sponsored by advertisors (you'll have to listen to one ad) but they have every number listed. I have heard that turning a fridge upside-down can damage it permanently, for the most part. I wouldn't advise doing it, especially since the manufacturer may send you a free one if it's in your warranty. Move the food to a friend/neighbor's fridge for the time being.

I am of the same opinion as Buddy L. This was old trick used with absorpion type refrigerators, where by if the fridge stopped freezing it was assumed that a blockage or a gas vapor lock had occured, by tipping the fridge bottom up you would reverse the flow of the solution in the cooling unit some times clearing up the blockage in the cooling unit. I,ve seen it work a couple of times on rv fridges most of the times it was the refrigerant that had leaked out of the unit.

That makes no sense! Why would turning it upside down fix a broken Refrigerator? Maybe the assumption is that it would circulate the oil, but that is not beneficial, should stay in the compressor anyway. May be a fuse, or it is just dead.

I have heard of turning a fridge upside down causing it to stop working but never that it could fix one!
however if it has already stopped working then I assume turning it upside down could'nt make things any worse. so what the heck if ya have some time to waste give it a try.

It could be several things. I'll start with the less scary one. It could be poltergeist activity. That means a spirit can be moving things or if you are going through puberty or menopause your energy can be causing things to drop or turn upside down. It could also be a spirit guide trying to give you advise. The most serious it could be is the beginning of a demonic infestation. I would recomend contacting your local paranormal research group for help.

all that turning it upside down will do is cause the oil in the compressor to get up into the coils. this is not a good thing. you will have to wait several hours for it to drain back into the compressor. it is about as effective as turning the radio up to fix a car that is making noise. you would be better off telling us what it did before it stopped working and get more advice on how to go about fixing it. good luck.

Wow. You must be a psycho! I'm just kidding. The human brain relates similar things and things that stand out. You and your mind unconsciously makes connections which consciously seem like more than coincidences. I can't concretely answer your question because I experience similar things myself and have no answer for it. Like 'themes'. All I can tell you is this: try following what the "universe" is telling you, maybe there's some higher being leading you to your fate - meeting up with this man again OR maybe it really is just all in your head and you actually liked this man and hoped to have a relationship with him, but as he left your life, you forced yourself to leave the thought which floated into your unconscious mind and affects your daily actions causing you to think of these greater coincidences. I know that thinking like this really distorts perception of reality... at least it does for me. Its like the movie Inception right? haha
