Choice 1: http://www.bulkherbstore.com/ GREAT prices on a small selection of (mostly medicinal) herbs by the 1/2 pound and 1 pound. They have combinations, too, for Immune System, Nursing Mothers, Restful Sleep, Arthritis Liniment, etc......and great books for learning about herbs......great site! I buy from them.

Choice 2: http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/ Wide variety of medicinal and culinary herbs at GOOD prices. I buy from them.

Choice 3: http://www.frontiercoop.com/dspCatPct.php?ct=hchhaz I use this as a last resort because these herbs are expensive. But if you're looking for something that is less popular or hard to get your hands on, you can probably find it here.

What kind of herbs are you referring to?

If you are inside taiwan you can probably find medicinal herbs at one of the many traditional medicine stores. Take a walk down your road and chances are within 10 blocks or less in one direction you will find a store. Look for the government medical logo, its green and its on all the dentists, doctors, pharmacies as well as acupuncturists, physiotherapists, optometrist and traditional medicine users places. I would recommend asking a chinese speaking friend to help you locate one with a good reputation... unless you already speak chinese. Its unlikely their english in a traditional medicine place will be at a useful level but I have been suprised before.

If you are referring to other kinds of herbs, the best place to hunt for cooking-type herbs is the wet markets in the mornings or evening markets. You can find a selection of spices in any grocery store but for fresh stuff thats the wet market.

If you are referring to illegal things, i cant help you.
