NO !! Use only a substrate that the iguana can NOT ingest, Iguanas tongue flick everything. Safe substrates include: towels, newspaper and indoor/outdoor carpet.

Loose substrates pose a serious issue for most reptiles. When they tongue flick, or defacate, these substrates get ingested or inside their vent and cause what is called 'impaction' which is when the intestines are blocked by something that is non-digestable, and the reptile cannot deficate, thus the stomach becomes swollen, and death is often the result.
Calci-sand seemed like a great idea when it came out because they figure that if lizards flick their tongue, they might as well get some calcium in their bodies. But when the sand gets wet it clumps, and turns into a little rock, and causes impaction. It will be too much of a chance, so, i wouldnt take that chance.
Also, sand does not hold humidity very well. I would suggest carpet. Home depot sells it for about 40 cents a square foot, and all you have to do is pull it out, rinse it off and throw it in the washing machine. It is easy maitenence.

Iguanas are tropical, so I would use either a turf or rabbit pellets. I wouldn't use a bark until the iguana's alot bigger and you're sure if he injests a piece of bark that it'll pass right thru. Sand-like substrates will get nasty in such a humid, warm habitat and even calci-sand could cause blockage in little iguanas.

Calcisand, despite what the pacage says, will cause impaction. A good substrate is paper towels and repticarpet. Your iggy will be constanly licking things and tasting them.

Well I have a leopard gecko and that's what i use, but that is because she gets a mouthful of sand every time she pounces. I would say yes because if somehow your pet eats it, it will be digestible and healthy unlike other sands.
