and I would like to know why people can't stand fresh air. All of the windows have to be shut tight. It smells awful in here. Public Health had to come out here and they said the windows need to be opened/ cracked at all times because of the mold, germy, stale air that we have here. Even the management company comes out and checks the apartments to make sure the windows are TIGHTLY closed. One guy patrols the halls at night to make sure the windows are closed. Public Health says that indoor air is 10 times as bad as outdoor air, and leaving every window tightly shut causes diseases to spread fast, because there is no air circulation. WHAT is wrong with people?? Do they think fresh air is going to kill them?

if the public health board has stated that the windows must be opened, then the owners should be ordered to comply with the ruling or be reported and fined. they cannot disregard an order from the board of health without penalty---report them.

If management pays the electric bills, that may be why they're so fussy about the open windows.

Isn't there some kind of machine you can buy, that's not too costly? Like an ionizer or humidifier, or something similar that would remove stale air and odors? I'd check into it. And use lots of Lysol spray and products containing bleach in the kitchen and bath.

Is that an apartment complex or is it a county jail? (just kidding) Open the windows yourself and let in the fresh air.

Security reasons? But you can open windows in your unit, if you want! Another lover of fresh air!

They might worry about heating costs. I don't know though. I love sleeping with a window open. Even during the winter.
