It probably is thrush, I suffered badly late on in all 3 of my pregnancies. Go to the chemist and see if they can offer you a canestan substitute or just keep piling on the natural yogurt

I do think what you do have is thrush cos I also suffer from it and it is not always ichy and you dont always get discharge from it but Id advice you to ask you doctor what you can use cos with you being pregnant I dont think you could use what you normally get prescribed or just ask at a pharmacy Im sure they will know what you can use I know the feeling of having it swell that bad its not nice and as it is I know that you will be unconfortable with being preganant so you dont need anything else to make you even more uncomfortable so get sorted quick and good luck :)

I know this will sound totally carzy but in a sufferer of thrush and i do use canesten i do try this aswell as it seems to get to the root of it.Empty the tampax out of a tampax tube and add the live yougart where the tampax had been, now not to be too graffic if you get my drift do as though that was a tampax.it acts similar to a pessary really and always works for me.Keeping down below cool and cotton knickers and re applying yougart and it will go eventually, but i know that awful feeling your feeling right now,it will pass.x

Hi there. I wanted to just write to you in an email but you don't have an email address so here goes.
It sounds to me like you have a yeast infection.
You do not have to have had sex for this to occur. Yeast infections are VERY common during pregnancy and they can be tricky to get rid of. I have known of women that have had a yeast infection that lasted almost their entire pregnancy. It is miserable but not dangerous.
You are right in your assumption that you need to talk to your doctor about this. She may very well want to see you and can probably prescribe something that will give you some relief.
Take care and congratulations on your pregnancy.
Blessings
Lady Trinity~

I get it! Y'all call a yeast infection "thrush". [Actually, we do, too, but only when it's in your mouth.] You'll need to buy some over-the-counter remedy that your health care provider okays [Monistat, etc..]

Anytime you get thrush, fever blisters, warts, it's a sign that you are getting run down and need to take better care of yourself, not to mention that precious package your carrying.
Congrats! Now go call your Dr. or Midwife or Pharmacist.

Sounds daft, but i'm a bloke, and i caught thrush off a woman. My symtoms was BURNING when trying to pee.

Or as a bloke refers to it as Peeing Razorblades. Hope that was of some help anyway.

Why not try the NHS direct service. Assuming you are in the UK.

Better to be safe than sorry. Could be an infection.
