The last name is Loren.. would it be strange if the baby's first name was Sophia?

Sophia Loren was a beautiful actress.. I think that it would be very nice. Most likely, the kids she grows up with won't really know. Good luck!

Go ahead, but I would also give her a nice middle name, just in case she'll hear of Sophia and I am sure she will, as the actress is timeless and if she wants to change it, she can use her middle name. Like Sophia Leigh Loren or even go old fashioned like Sophia Anne Loren.

Yes, I am old enough to know and remember Sophia Loren. A very beautiful lady and I believe she was Italian. I think to be named after her would wonderful. Best wishes for you and new baby girl.

Depends how you pronounce you last name.
If it’s the same as Sophia Loren, yea it’s strange, actually not strange but not nessary, there are allot of cool names in the world. Sophia is one of them but their are others.
