I NEED HELP!!!!!
Hello! I`m a student from Russia! Now I'm making a research for my diploma and I really need help of Americans. PLEASE answer 4 my questions:
1. What do you feel when you hear the word “river”? (the answers can be: cold, pleasant, dangerous)
2. How do you perceive the notion “river”? (it can be: deep, shallow, fast, turbulent, dirty, flows)
3. What associations do you have with this word? (it can be: water, dark water, stones, bridges, picnics on the bank, swim)

1. "wild" is commonly used with it. It implies: unpredictable, because Rivers have a calm area that, when turning or going over rocks, turns "wild"

2 Flowing

3 Dark water, rippling water (the sound it makes), fishing.

4 A river is a natural waterway that conveys water derived from precipitation (rainfall) from higher ground to lower ground.

Cold and dangerous.I perceive the river to be all of the above mainly deep and sometimes turbulent.Iassociate the river with kayaking fishing and walks along the river bank. The river is a long meandering body of water which eventually meets the sea.Iam over 40 and a full-time mum.
