undoubtedly D. The Romans regarded the Greeks much as the Anglo-Saxons regarded the French during the nineteenth century - the epitome of all that was finest in a civilization. But militarily inferior.

D. The Romans copied the Greeks a lot becuase they recognized the high attainment of Greek civilization.

I'd say D. The most educated Romans spoke Greek as well as Latin, and there were even Greek libraries for Romans to visit.
