I have been suffering with serious back & neck pains for over 3 years now. A man in a 4 x 4 decided to tailgate me whilst driving and operating his mobile. I wore a collar for over a year. I now have physio. I should go and see a specialist if I were you. A good solution is to purchase a Tens Machine from Boots or any good Pharmacy. It really does help to kill the pain!!

Talk to your consultant for the best and most correct answer. I broke my neck years ago in an accident and I often get a burning sensation in my arms and down my back - I was told it's normal and just the nerves. I have never been offered treatment and just learnt to live with it xxxx

having such an injury to the back area has obviously had some effect on peripherral nerves as well. The damage to those may heal in time or you could suffer with recurrent symptoms. unfortunately only time will tell, but take it up with a specialist, they will be in a better position to discuss it with you rather than a g.p.

You may still have a pinched nerve in your back. Bring it up on your next visit to the doctor's office.
