That depends, is that voice you thinking about things you are going to do, or does the voice seem to be coming from somewhere else, saying things that you would not say?

Does the voice say things like don't forget to pick up some food on the way home, or does it say I wonder if I could get away with putting mouse poison in my bosses coffee?

If the voice reminds you to do things that you should do, or of a good book you once read don't worry about it to much.

If the voice talks about things best left unsaid and undone please get some help right away.

Has the voice ever caused you not to hear someone else say something that was important? If so it might be a bad thing.

you sound schizophrenic. Or maybe bipolar. What does the voice say to you? Of course you could get treatment and make the voices stop, but it sounds like you don't want to do that. That's your choice. The important thing is what the voice says to you. Does the voice just talk to you, or is the voice telling you bad things? If the voice starts saying negative discouraging things to you, or telling you to hurt others or hurt yourself, it is very important that you are able to control this voice, and you'll probably need to go to a psychiatrist.

Until then, the important thing is that you understand what the voice is and where it is coming from. The voice is a symptom of a mental illness and it is not real. As long as you know this, you can decide whether or not it is interfering with your life to the point that you want to do anything about it.

The voice in your head is your sub concious mind. It is alright to listen to it. It means you are thinking for yourself....a very admirable skill to possess.

If ever you have a problem, you will find this voice can offer you some suggestions. Some of them if not most of them are the answers you have been seeking.

A good way to hear this voice more is too spend more time on your own. If you are dependant on yourself, you will find you need to make more decisions on your own. That's not to say you can't ask your friends and family for advice, they can be helpful as well.

I should know.....I do whatever the voices in my head tell me to do.

Not necessarily. It could be a hypnogic (sleep related) hallucination. Otherwise, probably not a great sign.

To make it talk louder--concentrate on the voice, or meditate on the voice.
