Emotional blackmale is a form of abuse. Most people think of abuse as something strictly physical, but the effects of emotional abuse are much more destructive, and far reaching. Bruises heal, emotional scars, not so much. A person who tries to balme you for everything has severe emotional problems, and can become volatile. How do you deal with such a person? You DON'T. You get away from them, far away, as fast as you possibly can.

Get a video camera and hide it where they cannot see it; next time they start dicretely turn it on; when friends come round put it on the TV without warning.
Have their clothes packed to hand them as they walk(or slam) out of the door. Also have a rattle wrapped up to give them as a parting gift (they have obviously already thrown theirs out of the pram.)
Do not say a word the whole time you do this.
thank your lucky stars they have gone.
Find yourself a nicer person ; you deserve it.

I'd love to know, I have one right here, twists everything you say, even if you are right you end up being wrong. Frightened to speak incase you say the wrong thing. I could go on and on. I know you need to be strong ( i need to be strong) but cant, get knocked back down at every cut and turn. Hanvnt the courage to end it, cos I still love him. but know cant go on like this, I'll end up a dithering wreck. Hope you are stronger than me.

Get rid of them at once. Emotional blackmail is their way of trying to control you jealousy is not a happy emotion it does not mean they love you it only means they want to control you thats no basis for a relationship

Stand up for yourself and don't be a doormat. Maybe they're feeling insecure and you make them feel better! They can't do it to anyone else. Well, you be like anyone else, and don't you put up with it either. Is it always your fault? No, then why take the blame?

First you need to make that person aware of what she or he is doing. Maybe they don't realize it.
Then, when it happens, again you tell that it's not going to work and unless they stop it, you stop the conversation.
That shows insecurity, immaturity and desire of control.
It's quite unbearable.
