I agree war is bad and should be avoided. But some wars are necessary. I think WW2 was a war that had to be fought. Other than that, I agree with you that it should be avoided.

I agree. Any form of war is bad, because there are always too many innocent people killed. People living peacefully at home, and all of a sudden they get hit by a bomb. What did these people do to deserve this? Nothing. There are so many wars that could have been avoided including the one going on in Iraq. I do not know enough to say that all wars could have been avoided but I know for sure that a decent number of them could. So many people die everyday because of diseases and natural disasters> things that are hard to avoid, but wars are just unneccessary and all they do is add to the large number of people dying everyday.

I agree. Conservatives do not- and Usa and London got what was coming to them. The reason why these two countries have been attacked and not others( except fpr the embassies of Usa) is because they both have a long history of warfare. Before you boo this answer- try googling up a timeline of Usa's warfares and England's. Trust me, the list will be much shorter for a more liberal nation such as, Canada. But people do not want to addmit the truth and still go along with their conservative ways. See, this is why Usa was attacked. Their idiot voters deserved it.

I agree that war is bad, but sometimes it just cannot be avoided, like WW l l. We, (the U. S. A.) have not been in a war since then that we have not been the aggressor, we need to rethink our policy on starting war. It just isn't good for living things.

For evil to succeed all that is required is that good people do nothing!
Would the world be a better place if no country had opposed Adolf Hitler?
Think about it, study the history ... would you want to live in the third reich?
Good people must oppose evil. With whatever level of force necessary to overcome it! That is part of what makes "good people" good!

Think about what you asked, really think about it. Most people do not like war, but you are being naive if you believe the world will ever be free of idiots who do. It is these idiots who force everyone else to fight. Embracing peace is one thing, but laying down for tyranny is another. Sometimes fighting is the only answer.

I usually don't agree with war, but I think that if the U.S. was attacked by another country than it would be justified to go to war.

I think war should ONLY be used in self defense. Definitely not pre-emptively as in Iraq.
