It started when my neighbor hired this homeless guy to help him move out. Now the guy comes around every day or two begging for money. He rings my doorbell until someone answers.
Today, i was laying down because I had a headache and he started ringing the bell. I knew it was him because he just continously rings. I didn't get up since my head was hurting. After a couple of minutes, the guy OPENED my front door. which I guess I forgot to lock when I came in from shopping this morning. Of course when I heard that, I immediately jumped up and started yelling at him. I ran toward the door to keep my inside cat from getting out and ran out onto the porch to find him before the cat got in the street. Needless to say I was very pissed off and yelled at the dude. I think he was scared. He just walked off but now I am wondering if he is going to be laying in wait for me sometime when I leave or will try to break in when I am not here. Any suggestions?

Because he is being a pain in the you know what and he should of never opened your door I would most definitly report him to the police and explain exactly what happened . or you could get in touch with your neighbor who brought him around to begin with and tell him to get rid of the guy since its his fault he is now in the area. Homeless or not homeless people should never bother anyone at thier home. A persons home is supposed to be your retreat from the world. Even door to door salesmen shouldnt be allowed to bug, they should just leave a note and if people want to contact them then fine. They are just as bad as the homeless guy the way they bug. About him laying in wait I rather doubt that but make sure you lock your house up at all times. Have you ever thought about putting up a security camera and tape what is monitored? If you dont want to spend for one that really works they have fake ones real cheap that you can put up and then put a message up that who ever is in view is being recorded. I have 2 cameras up connected to the same monitor which is next to my computer . I like being able to see what s going on out front while I am in the back of the house. It also makes it nice because I can see who is comiing and if I dont feel like answering the door I dont and watch the people what they are doing. I am going to put a voice monitor out there someday so I can tell who ever to go away if they sit there bugging. I love watching what people do when you dont answer the door. I personally when no one answers will leave after knocking once but some people will try and look in the windows , they will put thier ears to the door and listen if anyone is in there . My cameras were under 100 dlls. and you can hook them up to the vcr and record. You can also hook them up to the internet and watch your house from other places and if you have wireless internet service on your cel phone you can peek into your house while even shopping. A friend of mine hooked up a movement activated thing so that when anyone comes up to the front door or by the side gate a recorder goes off inside the house that sounds like a big mean dog going nuts barking .

File a complaint with Police right now about the unlawful entry.
That will stop the BS.

Tell him you are calling the police and if he puts a finger on your doorknob again you will use necessary precautions to protect yourself. I'm sure that he'll know what that means.

Call the pigs and tell them what happened. See if they can talk to him about his actions. If it doenst work give him a job as robber or get a restraining order on him!
If you dont someone on your block or around you, hire him to break in and steal things:)) lol im kidding.
But call the Pigs first!

this guy is likely known by the local police -- call them and tell them his name and ask them what you should do. Chances are they will speak to him and tell him to back off.
