Hi, Prices are a very lot cheaper than the UK as the other person said, just look around and you will find allsorts of places to eat even Scottish, English,Irish and Welsh, plus lots of others. If you want a quiet family holiday away from the clubs, I recommend the Seaview Country Club at Port Des Torrent which is right at the very end of San antonio bay, don't be alarmed at its location to San Antonio, as it is well away from all the racket. This hotel was brand new when I visited it back in late 90's, it is a first class hotel, immaculate, great food, great staff, accommodation is first class, I got a huntch that the hotel is owned by us Brits as it has an English name and not a German in sight, only Brits and Irish. It was so peacefull and staff did everything they could to help. Hotel is situated right on sea front. Shops nearby, bus stop outside hotel and Taxis. If too expensive for you try Mare Nostrum in Playa de'n bossa, great hotel staff food the lot, does have Germans but are ok as they are not allowed to pinch our sunbeds in any hotels as they are likely to get their towels washed free for them. Location is near airport flight path but not too bad, great if you like plane spotting. If you get a room above main entrance you get a great view of Ibiza town Castle and I think it was October time that there is a huge firework display, if you go to Ibiza in summer, go to Ibiza town and go to harbour and old town and you will see the human statues including the famous one all in pure white, this is the guy who was in the film Kevin and Perry go large, you also get all the transvestites dressed up to the hills at night. Finally the Ibizan people are a dam site more friendlier than Majorcan people, its a happy island, and I feel upset as I havent been able to go there for the past 5 years due to ill health and kidney failure, I would love to go back, I will one day.
Happy holidays and I hope I have helped you, let me know if you did go where I said and how you got on.. Jimmy

Its been a while since i was there but iwouldnt say its overly expensive. However if you go out at night id go out in the old town as the new cashes in in the fact that everybody is out to party and the bars and clubs can be really expensive.Food is slightly less cheaper than it would be here.
