the best way is actually to just quit. just stop one day but prepare yourself for it mentally. pick a day about one month from now and remind yourself everyday that that's the day you'll quit. you can start to break the habit before by making little changes, stop smoking in your car and your house, only smoke outside, or set rules that you're only allowed to have a cigarette every two hours or if you do have a cigarette you have to go for a 30 min walk or drink two glasses of water, something healthy!
when that day finally arrives, try to keep yourself busy and active so you're not tempted to smoke. drink lots of water and chew gum...it helps!
good luck! here's wishing you success!

Depends on if deep down you want to quit and how strong your will power is. Some can quit the next days others years. But if you smoke in your home I would say try smoking outside thats what I am doing it works wonders. I hate going out side to smoke mostly because its cold out now. Also try keep cough drops in your pocket better if you smoke menthol it gives a cool feeling and some has a small amount of menthol in it.

Steps, start picking out an area to smoke, remove all ashtrays from other areas, then set out the number of cigarettes you will smoke in a day. Then quit smoking indoors. Don't go cold turkey it doesn't work for most. Stage yourself off by noticing your behavior patterns when you smoke the most, like after meals and ban that from your ritual. You will make mistakes just don't give up trying. GOOD LUCK!

The best way is to cut yourself back gradually. This week only smoke eight a day, next week smoke seven, then six, and then the last week it should be a little easier. Start keeping carrotts or other foods that you can put in your mouth when you feel like smoking.

SMOKING:

To stop the craving for nicotene, use ten drops lobelia extract under the tongue, whenever you desire a cigarette. Lobelia extract can be purchased at herb stores.

Drink pure water to flush out the nicotene poisons in your body. To know how much to drink daily, divide your weight by 2, and that is how many ounces of water you should drink daily. There are at least twelve known poisons in tobacco products.

Lick some salt with the tip of your tongue every time the craving for a cigarette hits you. This is reported to break the smoking habit within a month of using it.

Eat bananas daily.

Smokers are depleted of Vitamin C, so take a supplement daily or drink a glass of pure orange juice.

The herb calamus is supposed to stop the craving for tobacco.

Smoke all of your cigarettes and when they are gone stop and never pick up another cigarette.

Try blow pops or hard candy. I like the blow pops because they kept my hand busy. Keep your hands busy.

If you are a Christian, pray and ask God to deliver you. I smoked 40 years and the Lord delivered me. I quit so many times that I
couldn't count them all. One night I turned it over to the Lord and told Him that I couldn't do it that He had to. And He did. I haven't picked up a cigarette in one year and one month. I don't even want one. My daughter smokes in front of me and it doesn't bother me.

Set yourself goals and gradually reduce your smoking. Decline offers of a cigarette from colleagues and friends.

Cold turkey is the only way to do it. You need to have the willpower to quit. Maybe try convincing a friend to quit at the same time could help out. YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!!!!!!
