what could possibly be making my internet connection lag?

i have cable, and on some days it is fast and other days it just lags. is this normal? what can i do?

I would say that's normal, its due to the ISP traffic at certain times. (like rush hour)

when my video games lag , i reset my modem. that usually works for me
