My key will lock doors but won't unlock the doors, therefore I have to manually open the driver side door by inserting the key. However, I cannot open the Fuel Door nor the passenger side door! I checked the manual and tried some things but it still can't get my passenger side door open nor my FUEL DOOR!! I can live with the passenger door not opening until I make it to the repair shop BUT I'll run out of gas before I make it there. Is there a manual way to unlock the door?? Please help anyone!

There should be a manual release inside the trunk. You may have to pull the liner back to find it.

Good luck.

I'd take it to the BMW dealer in town and see if they can help you. Did you buy this car used? If so, maybe the previous owner didn't give you the key for the gas tank. Good luck.

yes the gut above is correct. there is a manual release in the trunk. it's light green, located by the fuel door area. if you don't see it check behind the panel. also press your interior lock button to see if this will unlock it.

do you have a button in the cab of the car (glove box)? most cars with locking gas covers will have this.
