Hello. Can you help me find the true story that Alpha Dog was based off of. I can't get it off my mind and it's driving me nuts. I wanna read the actual event etc.
Byt the way this Movie was really really good.

It's based on the kidnapping and killing of nick markowitz by Jesse James Hollywood. In real life, Nick's older half brother, Ben, owed Hollywood some money for drugs. When he didn't pay, Hollywood went to vandalize the Markowitz's home, but saw Nick on the street. He took Nick partying in Santa Barbara for days, hoping to use him as ransom to get his money. When he found out that kidnapping would give him a bigger sentence, he had Nick killed.
It's a really tragic story.

It was based on a story shown on either Dateline NBC, or 48 Hrs a few months back.
I wish I could help you more, but the televsion program was probably better than the Hollywood version of what actually happened.

Check under the name Jesse James Hollywood....... That was Johnny Truelove's real name.. all names in the movie were changed
