Yugoslavia no longer exists, communist government and economy collapsed with the end of communism in the USSR. That region is now call Bosnia and is torn by war. Well I am not sure of the current state but when I was there as a US soldier implementing the Dayton Accord it was. Poverty was rampant and there were few buildings that didn't have bullet holes or that was completely intact.
Communism looks good on paper but in practice it doesn't work very well. That is because paper is incorruptible unlike humans who can easily be corrupted by greed.
