I was recently advised to apply for a Master's Degree from an Australian university. I haven't completed my Bachelor's, but i was told that they would accept a polytechnic diploma with work experience as the entrance requirement for that Master's Degree programme.

The university is acrredited, and the school / college that runs this programme conducts training for major companies and government departments. Anyone think this it's a good idea to go straight from a diploma to a master's?

There is a lot of misunderstanding about the meaning of "accredited", and you need to make sure this is an academically-respected institution in the field you are looking at. I find this suspicious, and if you were planning on going anywhere other than Australia, it might be frowned upon. Most schools will tell you that they are "accredited", because there are lots of different organizations doing accreditations, some of which are respected and some of which aren't. If a school tells you they are "accredited", find out who accredits them, then look to see if that is also who accredits the institution most respected in that country or field. If you are currently working on a Bachelor's degree at a respected university, ask them about the institution. The fact that they do training for companies and government does not make them a good university.
