When I talk to people, I can sense that talking to me is painful to them. I want to sound regular when I talk, but my voice comes out low and monotonous, and I never say anything exciting. I also tend to repeat things because I can never think of anything to say. There's this girl I talk to on the phone who I want to ask to be my girlfriend, but I don't know if she realises that I won't get much more exciting, and I don't want to make her deal with me being so boring.

It's all about your attitude. You're not boring. You lack self-esteem. If you have the confidence and self assurance, people will sense that and you wouldn't have to worry about them thinking you're boring.

You cant change who you are! And who says you are boring. How do you know they are not boring?
As for repeating things just try not be so nervous and maybe write down a list of your interests and make points and that way when you go out you will have these ideas in your head.If this girl like you already im sure she doesnt think you boring.

Dude: Who said that you are boring? All you need to do is just be yourself and stop having to be so interesting which is really fake on your part. Besides, whom are you trying to impress? People will like you for you and not because you pretend so well.
As for your speech, I suggest that you go into your room and practice reading the newspaper or a magazine. Emphasize clarity and accuracy of pronunciation and not speed. If you can't do it well slowly you won't be able to do it well at normal speed. Ten minutes of practice, twice per day, will do.
Remember, you need to be genuine and not pretend to be someone else. You are not Alice and this is not wonderland.

I find the most boring people are the ones who only want to talk about themselves. Always look and sound interested in what the other person has to say. Share your opinions and dont just agree with them to keep them on your side. Most guys tend to talk about sport, movies, who is hot, work, music. If someone has told you you are boring, believe me, they are not your friend.

gosh.. well with that attitude you are not gonna get any darling... if u belive you are boring you are going to be boring..change your mindset and dont be afraid of those silent gaps when talking do your share ... talk about anything you want.. and dont pressure youserlf to be the one always talking... maybe you are not boring after all its the ppl you meet that are boring :D smile

i'll bet ur not at all boring but very self concious, whenever i feel like that i will ask questions and encourage the other person to talk about themselves.this will give u more topics to discuss and also boost their ego because u are unterested in THEM. good luck

FIRST OF ALL, YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME HOBBIES OR INTERESTS. I'D SAY FIND SOME PEOPLE WHO SHARE THE SAME INTERESTS AS YOU. YOU WILL BOTH HAVE SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT AND IF IT'S SOMETHING YOU ENJOY, YOU'LL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AND WON'T SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT.
HERE'S ANOTHER TIP: IF YOU CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING TO SAY, THEN DON'T SAY ANYTHING.

if you like this girl...when you talk to her on the phone...
try asking her about her day...( i.e. how was her day..what did she do that day..)..if talks too quickly...then talk about your day...what you did...what happened...what probably went wrong...
then ask her what she's gonna do the next day....or tell her you wish her goodluck with whatever she decides to do...ask her about her favorite colour...whatever colour she says....act surprised on the phone....and tell her yours...then tell her you kinda like her...and hopefully with time she would like you too..
remind her of how beautiful or sexy her voice is....and tell her she is more beautiful than her voice...
tell her she makes you happy and smile....bring up various instances....
NB..try not to talk tooooo long...reduce a lil bit....so you have smthing else to say the next day...do this...and with time she will do all the talking....and you listen...
