My personal theory is that they're all designed by men! Naturally, they haven't thought things out with women in mind! I don't want to bash men, but really! And the alternative to having the tp behind you is these new super-sized dispensers which are always placed so low your face is practically in the bowl whilst you're trying to get some tp to wipe off the seat before you use it.
