Is it not lame how they put Ray Ferraro and Brett Hull face2face arguing? NBC should stick stick to NBA.

...also, who are the commentators? One of the guys sounds familiar...sounds like someone from Hockey Night In Canada or some other Canadian sportscaster.

hockey is hockey no matter what station its on. the rules dont change only commentators... if you dont like it mute it.

I actually watched some of the NBC game on Saturday instead of Hockey Day in Canada on CBC to see how it was, and it was not that bad. Good to hear Chris Cuthbert picking up some hockey games on NBC after getting screwed over by the CBC. He is a great hockey comentator and should only help the NBC broadcasts, and I will gladly watch and listen to a NBC broadcast on Saturday night instead of being tortured with Harry Neale's comments on yet another Toronto game on Hockey Night in Canada!!

I never watch the NBC games because they only do regional coverage, and they assume everyone in the pacific northwest is a fan of the California teams and make us watch crap matchups between teams no one cares about (Kings-Blues, are you KIDDING ME?). When in fact, the few hockey fans that do live here are usually fans of east coast or Canadian teams, and Vancouver is actually the closest NHL city.

I like it, I also like the games on Versus. I think with HD TV Hockey can finally be enjoyable on TV. If people don't like the announcers they can turn the volume down and listen to music. I do this for Football games all the time. I also like Ray Ferraro's commentary, he is smart and insight-full.

i thought it was fine--- NOONE here where i live knows who crosby or ovechkin or even brodeur are, so even if it's hullie and ferraro "face to face" discussing them, it's better than nothing, right??
i'm just in amazement another person was watching pucks on an nfl playoff day.
any televised nhl is something i'm good with. the league needs big help..
and this kings/blues game is surprisingly fun to watch. nice action and nbc is doing a commendable job. screw the nba-that crap is on espn 24/7

i didnt mind it much i kinda like when the rangers play on nbc the camra action is good and i got an HD tv and with nbchd the game looks awesome. so what if the intermission b/s is cheesy who watches that anyway thats when you go to the bathroom or get some food or drinks or just change the channel till the game comes back on

Any time I get to watch the NHL on TV is good to me! The Flyers-Pens game was televised in my area, and I like how NBC showed Sidney Crosby's journey around the ice.

I agree with you I get so annoyed when I have to watch one of my teams games on NBC. It is almost worth not watching the game. But I rough it out and deal with it. I wish the NHL would drop NBC As a broadcast station and stick with sports channels.

It's nice seeing it on NBC because of the better camera shots/replays. The cons are the commenators and a million more commercials (it seems like)
