HA HA HA my fiance calls a washing line (rotary) this, i was rolling when she first called it that!!! But i believe its a washing line that you dry your clothes on in the garden that is usually used in smaller houses due to the saving of space!

Whirly gigs are wind powered lawn ornaments. My dad made one of a cartoon frog, when the wind blew it looked like it was running. Some are really complicated, like a mule kicking a farmer, or two ladies churning butter, they're cool though, but too many in your yard can be tacky.
